Partner Spotlight: Furniture Bank

MacHub and Swedemom Center of Giving proudly announce the launch of a NEW community service built from your donations that directly serves neighbors in need. The Share Inc Furniture Bank distributes quality donations to households in need of furniture and basic household items. Their mission is to ensure everyone in our community can create a safe, comfortable home. They began serving families in April with goods provided by MacHub's donation passthrough program. When families are transitioning into housing, they often need all the basics to establish healthy routines - like beds and pillows for a good night's sleep, and dining tables and plates to serve a nutritious meal. The Furniture Bank reliefs the cost burden of purchasing all those items, while also providing an environmentally-friendly reuse service for our area. The Share Inc Furniture Bank works with local human service providers, like Lutheran Community Services, who identify and refer families in need.
